This is a good game, but not even close to being as good as DD1. Or the occultist needing to charge his best attacks, while you need to pray that he doesn't get debuffed or the enemies get dodge tokens in the meanwhile. The PD is with ease the best character in the entire game and is absolutely broken, meanwhile, you have the poor Leper struggling at the beggining of every fight having to deal with one or two blind tokens. Almost as bad as the act 3.Īs for my last impressions, some characters and paths are just insanely better than others, which makes me question why even use others or experiment with parties. In comparison, I had the best quirks and trinkets and an insane amount of hp in act 4, and regardless of all that I almost lost that fight because that boss can simply act twice in a row and nuke your entire party for 60+ damage. With two diseased heroes and some really bad quirks, it was still a fair fight. It's mind-boggling how despite of having three phase and the largest amount of hp of all bosses, this fight was well balanced and fun. Compared to the nightmare that is the act 3, followed by the act 4 which also got another DPS race at the end, I was left wondering what the hell is going on in the heads of the dev team. ![]() Of all fights in the game, the last boss was probably the one with the best design. ![]() I have just finished the game and have acquired my grand slam trophy for a deathless run of all chapters with a party composed by GH, PD, FG and MAA.
